Paul V. Smedile

Paul V. Smedile, 65, a resident of South Easton, died peacefully at home on Friday, July 5 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Judith L. (Doten) Smedile. Son of the late Frank and Rachel (Ferguson) Smedile, he was born in Boston, raised in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1965. He also attended the Art Institute of Boston. Mr. Smedile was a clerk at Shaw's Supermarkets for 15 years after working as an electroplater for the Foxboro Company for 17 years. An avid music lover, he also loved Boston sports, art and history.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Smedile is survived by his children, Rachel L. Smedile of Holbrook and Matthew P. Smedile of Stoughton. He was the brother of Vincent Smedile and Robert Smedile both of Stoughton, Mary Blaney and Claire Sullivan both Easton, Elaine Fitzpatrick of CA and the late Francis Smedile. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, July 13 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 9-11 AM. Interment will be private. Donations in Paul's memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
