Paul C. Killgoar, 89, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Sunday, December 27 at home surrounded by his family. He was the husband of 64 years of the late Mary Jane (Dolan) Killgoar, who passed away November 6, 2009. Born and educated in Boston, he was a resident of Stoughton for 57 years. Mr. Killgoar was a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps and a Veteran of World War II. He was a printer for Spaulding & Moss in Boston for 20 years and then Leyden Press in Plymouth for 25 years before retiring 24 years ago. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 200 in Stoughton and was active with Stoughton Little League and Stoughton Council on Aging. In his free time he enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his family.
Mr. Killgoar is survived by his children, Paul C. Killgoar, Jr. and his wife Barbara of MI, James D. Killgoar and his wife Elaine, Mary Ann Killgoar and Jeanne P. Ohman and her husband David all of Stoughton, Robert J. Killgoar and his wife Doreen of Randolph, John M. Killgoar of Middleboro, Susan Hargreaves and her husband Thomas of N. Easton and Thomas C. Killgoar and his wife Jennifer of Brockton. He was the brother of the late Louise Rawson and John "Randy" Killgoar. He is also survived by his dear niece, Paula Smith, 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, December 30 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-7 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Paul's name may be made to Catholic TV, PO Box 9196, Watertown, MA 02471.
