Paul V. Kean, Sr., a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 29, 2015. He was the husband of 44 years of Catherine M. "Tootsie" (Hibbard) Kean. One of 8 children of the late Michael and Margaret Kean, he was born and raised in Mission Hill and graduated from Mission High School, Class of 1955. He also attended Bentley College in Waltham. Paul was a resident of Stoughton for the past 42 years. He was a postal worker at the U.S. Postal Service in Roslindale for over 30 years before retiring 17 years ago. Mr. Kean was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Roslindale and VFW Post 327 in Roxbury. An avid Red Sox fan, he enjoyed coaching Little League in Mission Hill for many years. He also enjoyed playing golf and cards.
In addition to his wife, Paul was the father of James Brennan, Jr. and his wife Eva of Newport Richey, FL, Joseph Brennan and his wife Donna of Stoughton, Kathleen Puliti and her husband Ned of Pocasset, Paul V. Kean, Jr. and his wife Caryn of Bridgewater and the late George M. Brennan. He was the father-in-law of Karen Brennan. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, October 2 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
