Paul K. Guiney, 69, died suddenly Tuesday, September 29 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of Margaret "Peggy" (O'Toole) Guiney. Born in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Dorchester High School. He was a resident of Stoughton for over 45 years. Mr. Guiney worked as a Boilermaker for Local 29 in Quincy for over 30 years. He retired in 1994.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his five children Paul K. Guiney Jr. of CA, William F. of Haverhill, Joseph P. of Stoughton, Jeanne M. of NJ and Christine A. of Norwood. He was the brother of Francis Guiney of Canton, William of NY, Robert of FL, Theresa Coleman of Stoughton, Doris Leonard of Weymouth, Madeline Scully of Norwell and the late Thomas, John, Edward and Leo Guiney, Florence Dolan and Louise Lennon. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Garrett, Logann and Owen.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, October 2 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Paul's name may be made to Smile Train, 28th Floor, 41 Madison Ave., New York, NY 10010
