Paul Beaucaire, 81, a longtime resident of West Bridgewater, died unexpectedly Friday Evening at his home. He was the husband of 58 years of Lois V. (Trott) Beaucaire. Born in Fairhaven, he was educated in New Bedford and South Boston Schools. He was a WWII and Korean Veteran of the US Navy. He worked as a machinist at Arch Gear in Quincy for over 10 years and Thermo Electron in Woburn and Waltham for over 5 years. Mr. Beaucaire also worked in several other area machine shops. After his retirement, he was a driver for AA Metro and Bill's Taxi in Bridgewater. A former resident of Stoughton, he was active in Boy Scouts, Troop 16, Stoyac and Stoughton Little League, all in Stoughton. He was a former parishoner of St. James Church in Stoughton and served as an usher and Bingo Worker. He was a resident of West Bridgewater and Matfield Woods Association for over 20 years. Mr. Beaucaire enjoyed camping and was a member of Philliponsett Camping Group, Chapter 32. In addition to camping, in his free time he enjoyed bowling, woodworking, sports and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his four sons, Jack of Bridgewater, Larry of RI, Jim of Andover and Paul of E. Bridgewater. He was predeceased by 5 brothers and 1 sister. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his grandchildren Ashley, Taylor, Matthew and Jackie.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Ann's Church, West Bridgewater, at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Donations in Paul's Memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, 02368. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
