Patrick C. Shaughnessy

Patrick C. Shaughnessy, 58, a resident of Stoughton, died at Norwood Hospital on Thursday, November 5, 2015 after a brief illness. Son of the late Michael P. Shaughnessy and Carolyn E. (Foley) Donald and her husband David, he was born in Boston and raised in South Boston. He was a resident of Dedham for 13 years before moving to Stoughton 3 years ago. Patrick was a Specialist 4th Class, serving in the U.S. Army for 3 years. He was a graduate of Quincy Junior College. He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed playing sports.
Patrick is survived by his son, Robert M. Shaughnessy of Stoughton, as well as his fiance, Pauline A. Holt of Stoughton and his step-daughter, Kristina Holt of Philadelphia, PA. He was the brother of James Shaughnessy of New Hampshire, Ruth Finn of Brockton, Carolyn Somers of S. Boston, Jeanette Shaughnessy of Florida, Martin Shaughnessy and John Shaughnessy both of Quincy, Diann Shaughnessy and Roger Shaughnessy both of Pennsylvania and the late Michael Shaughnessy and Robert Shaughnessy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Graveside Service will be held at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne on Friday, November 13 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations in Patrick's memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
