Patrick Dennis Large

Patrick D. "Dennis" Large, 66, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at home on Monday, February 3, 2020. Son of the late Patrick B. Large and his surviving wife Carol A. Large of Stoughton, he was born in Boston and raised in Stoughton. He was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1971. Dennis was a Specialist in the U.S. Army and a Veteran of Desert Storm. He served 8 years in the Army before being disabled. He resided in Killeen, TX for 20 years before moving back to Stoughton in 1998. He was a member of the VFW Post 1645 in Stoughton and enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing Poker and computer games.

Dennis is survived by his children, Robin Smith and Michael Large both of West Bridgewater and Hollie Tiso and her husband Greg of Stoughton. He was the brother of Susan Large Crowley, Theresa Ibbitson and John "Jack" Satkiewitz all of Stoughton, Donna O'Brien of Brockton, Joseph Large of Iowa, Patrick T. Large of New Jersey, Evelyn St. Germain of Bridgewater and the late Stephen and William Large. He is also survived by lifelong friends Gary Barkey of Stoughton and Brian Smith of West Bridgewater, as well as 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Sunday, February 9 from 11 AM – 1 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at the VFW Post 1645, 837 Washington St., Stoughton. Donations in Dennis' memory may be made to New England Center and Home for Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108.
