Patrick A. Francis, 69, died at Brandon Woods of New Bedford on Thursday, January 15, 2015 after a period of failing health. Born in Boston, he was raised in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton schools. He was a resident of Stoughton for 30 years, also living in Vermont for 25 years and New Bedford for the past 2 years. Patrick was an operator at the Brattleboro Waste Water Treatment Plant in Brattleboro, VT for 15 years before retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Marine Corps Club in Florida. An avid Boston sports fan, he also enjoyed fishing and antique motorcycles and cars.
Patrick is survived by his sons, Patrick D. Francis of Portsmouth, RI, Gabriel L. Francis and his wife Nicola of Warren, RI and Joshua R. Francis and his wife Stacey of East Freetown, as well as his grandchildren, Lexi, Emma, Winnie, Hank, Will and Jude. He was the brother of Robert T. Falandys of Maine, Joseph E. Falandys and his wife Marie and John F. Falandys all of Stoughton and the late Robert Francis. He was the foster son of the late Andrew and Dorothy Copello. He was the former husband of Patricia (Doody) Lukac and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will offered from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, January 23 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 4-7 PM. Interment will be private.
