Patrick H. Carrara

Patrick H. Carrara, Jr., a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully, Saturday, April 29, 2017 after a brief illness, at his home in Waldo, ME where he has lived for the past 10 years. Born in Norwood, he was the son of the late Patrick H. Carrara and Anna (Porcarro) Carrara. He was raised in Stoughton, and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1957 and Wentworth Institute, class of 1959. Pat was the founder of B&C Construction, now in its 56th year of operation, serving the Town of Stoughton and surrounding towns. The business is still family owned by his son Scott Carrara and his wife Stephanie. Pat was a supporter of the Town of Stoughton and its youth, from umpiring and coaching Little League games to volunteering his equipment to many projects. He willingly donated his time and talents to several town projects, including building several fields at the Elm St. Little League Complex, to the new STOYAC Memorial Field and several playground projects at Elementary schools. Pat was an avid sports fan, supporting the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics. He was a proud bond holder at the CW Welch Memorial Fish & Game Preserve in Stoughton, where he donated the use of his equipment in support of the club and its members. Most of all, he enjoyed hunting with the men of his family and a few select friends at his home in Maine.

Mr. Carrara was the father of former Stoughton Selectman Scott D. Carrara and his wife Stephanie and Patrick H. Carrara III and his wife Jennifer all of Stoughton and the late Brian D. Carrara. He was the brother of Beverly Pellegrino of Stoughton, Anne Marie Anderson and Denise Carrara both of Mattapoisett. He is also survived by 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, one great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Prayers will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, May 11 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior to the prayers from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's memory may be made to the Stoughton High School Building Fund, 10 Pearl St., Stoughton, 02072.
