Patricia C. (Augusta) MacDonald, 75, died Saturday, July 14 at the Youville Hospital in Cambridge after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. MacDonald and Leo Tully. Born in Cambridge, she was raised in Dorchester and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. Mrs. MacDonald was a resident of Stoughton since 1969. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Brockton Multi Services for over 10 years and also worked at the Shattuck Hospital in Boston. A licensed hypnotist, she volunteered for the Old Colony Hospice in Stoughton. She also was a volunteer with the Stoughton Literacy Program at the Stoughton Library. Mrs. MacDonald was a member of the National Association of Hypnotists and the MSPCA. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, traveling, painting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Christine P. Stevens of Revere, Marianne Mackie and her husband Kevin of Mansfield, JoAnne C. Ferent and her husband Alphonse, John W. MacDonald and his wife Lisa and Joseph F. MacDonald and his wife Mary all of Stoughton. She was the sister of George V. Augusta of W. Newbury and the late Robert Augusta. She was the grandmother of Sarah Eagles, Elizabeth Mackie, Emma Mackie and William Mackie, Mathew MacDonald, Olivia MacDonald, Joseph F. MacDonald Jr., Katherine MacDonald, Hannah MacDonald and Patrick MacDonald. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, July 18 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Donations in Patricia's name may be made to Poor Clare Nuns, 920 Centre St., Jamaica Plain, 02130. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
