Patricia A. (Crugnale) Galvin

Patricia A. (Crugnale) Galvin, 82, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died February 4, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family, after a period of failing health. Born in Brockton, she was raised in Stoughton at 258 Chemung Street in a home that was also a family owned restaurant and inn called the Forest View Inn and Café. She was educated in Stoughton Schools and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1961. In 1966, she married Michael F. Galvin, and together they shared 32 years of marriage and raised three beloved children before his death in 1998. Patty worked for the Joseph D. Galvin Insurance Agency for many years and enjoyed her daily interactions with her clients and made many friends during her time there. She retired several years ago. She also volunteered as a CCD Teacher in Stoughton for many years. She was an accomplished cook and loved watching cooking shows and cooking Italian food. Patty was a gifted organ and accordion player and volunteered her time playing for the residents of the Blue Hills Alzheimer’s Care Center in Stoughton. She was an avid sports fan and loved cheering for the Patriots and attending BC Football Games with her husband. The entire Glavin family all looked forward to their summer vacations in Dennisport and Patty enjoyed fishing, especially at the Onset Pier. Patty was blessed with her lifelong “Club Friends”, a group of women who loyally met every week for decades to join in the highs, lows and experiences of each other’s lives. In her free time, she loved spending time with her family and her friends.

Patty is survived by her children, Michael F. Galvin, Jr. and his fiancé Linda Williams of Brockton, Paul A. Galvin and his wife Cristy of Duxbury and Linda M. Hudson and her husband Mark of Stoughton. She was the beloved “Gramma Patty” of Jonathan, Mark and Gianna Galvin. In addition to her husband Michael, Patty was predeceased by her sister Mary Pavadore. She is also survived by her cousin and lifelong friend Leona Foley with whom she had a special sister-like friendship, her dogs Bruschi and Tedy, and several nieces and nephews.
