Patricia I. (Desmond) Butterworth

Patricia I. (Desmond) Butterworth, 85, died Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at her home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Eugene R. Butterworth. Born in Boston, she was raised in Hyde Park and was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. Mrs. Butterworth was a resident of Stoughton for over 60 years. She was a dedicated homemaker at home with her family. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, gardening, sitting by the pool, traveling and spending time with her family.

Pat was the mother of Gary E. Butterworth and his wife the late Elaine Butterworth of Wareham, Cindy A. Gillespie and Ricky J. Butterworth both of Stoughton and Susan E. Butterworth and Michael P. Butterworth both of FL. She was the sister of the late Daniel and Joseph Desmond and David Holmes. Pat's family would like to thank her caretaker Mary Caira for the dignified care she provided to her over the past few months. Pat is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, November 12, at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday, November 11, from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
