Panfilo G. "Pat" DelMonico, 86, died at West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton on Sunday, May 31. He was the husband of Mary A. (Picillo) DelMonico. Son of the late Giacinto and Carmela (Traficante) DelMonico, he was born in Roxbury and educated in Boston schools and Roxbury Memorial High School. He was a resident of Brockton for over 25 years after living in Stoughton for 25 years. Mr. DelMonico was an U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a carhouse repairman for the MBTA for 22 years before retiring in 1977. A longtime member of the Sons of Italy in Stoughton, in his free time he enjoyed golfing.
In addition to his wife, Mr. DelMonico is survived by his children, Georgette DelMonico of Brockton and Jeffrey J. DelMonico of West Bridgewater, as well as his siblings, James G. DelMonico and his wife Elizabeth of Brockton and Christina DelMonico-Sandler and her husband Charles Sandler of Stoughton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, June 3 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Pat's name may be made to the Assn. of Gastrointestinal Motility Disorders(AGMD), 12 Roberts Dr., Bedford, MA 01730.
