Pandelis "Peter" Spiliakos, 55, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He was the loving husband of 23 years of Stacia (Krowski) Spiliakos of Easton. Born in Sparta, Greece, he came to the United States in 1969 and settled in Springfield. He was a graduate of Springfield Classical High School where he was a gifted baseball player. He also earned his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Northeastern University in 1986. Peter was a resident of Easton for over 23 years and also had a home in Katsarou, Greece. He worked for several companies over the years, including PictureTel, Akami Technologies and was presently employed as the Global Vice President of North American Enterprise Sales at Limelight Networks. He joined Limelight Networks after negotiating the sale of a startup company.
Peter's favorite role and the one that filled him with immense pride was that of father to his two boys. He was active in every aspect of their lives from school to sports. He was passionate about coaching his sons' baseball and basketball teams. He was also an avid Red Sox and Colts fan.
Fifteen years ago, he built a house in Katsarou, Greece so he could bring his sons back every year to learn their heritage and culture. He loved spending time in the old country and spent many months enjoying sharing time with his children and family in Greece.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his beloved sons; Kosta Andreas Spiliakos and Aristotelis "Ari" Joseph Spiliakos both of Easton. He was the devoted son of Konstandinos and Eleni (Minakakis) Spiliakos of Norton and Vresthema, Greece and the brother of Maria Orfanos of Norton. He was the son-in-law of Joseph and Nancy Krowski of Easton and the brother in law of Joseph Krowski Jr. and his wife Lori of Easton. Peter was the uncle of Demetra Orfanos of Norton, Jack Green, Julian, Jaden and Jorja Krowski all of Easton. He also leaves many cousins both here and in Greece, a village of wonderful friends and his dog Zoe.
Funeral Services will be held in the St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 119 Common St., Braintree, 02184 on Tuesday at 11 AM. Visiting Hours will be held in the church on Monday from 4-8 PM. Burial will be held in the Canton Corner Cemetery in Canton.
