Pamela A. Bishop, 58, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Daughter of Bette A. (Jordan) Bishop of Stoughton and the late Paul S. "Boofy" Bishop, she was born in Newton. Pam graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1975 and cosmetology school. She was a hairdresser for 42 years. She enjoyed traveling, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Pam is survived by her children, Matthew W. Amaru and his fiancé Amy Zaccagnino of Boston, Rocco J. Amaru and his longtime companion Maria Sorensen of Watertown and Lauren B. Scalzi and her longtime companion Stephen Currie of Sharon, as well as her grandchildren, Seanna and Tessa Amaru. She was the sister of Wendy Hines and her husband Michael of Stoughton, Michael Bishop and his wife Patty of E. Bridgewater, Paul Bishop and his wife Ann and Peter Bishop all of Stoughton. She is also survived by her former husband, Richard Scalzi and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, July 14 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 4-7 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pam's memory may be made to Hope Hospice, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
