Noval Rowell, 88, died at Braemoor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Brockton on Monday, September 22 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Bernestine (Green) Rowell. Born and educated in Montgomery, AL, he was a resident of Stoughton for over 40 years. Mr. Rowell was a member of the U.S. Navy for over 30 years, retiring many years ago. He served in both WWII and Korean Eras. After his retirement from the Navy, he worked as a custodian for the Stoughton Schools for many years.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Rowell was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Rowell. Born into a family of 12, he is survived by his brother John W. Rowell Jr. of CA. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral Service will be held from the First United Methodist Church, 109 Pleasant St., Stoughton on Monday, September 29 at 12 Noon. Visiting Hours at church prior to service from 11 AM until 12 Noon. Donations in Noval's name may be made to Mass Commission for the Blind, 48 Boylston St., Boston Ma 02116-4718. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
