Norma T. (Bismore) Buckley, 90, died Sunday, August 1, 2021, at her home in Stoughton surrounded by her beloved family, after a long period of declining health. Born and raised in Brockton, she was a 1949 graduate of Brockton High School. On July 4, 1952 at St. Patrick's Church in Brockton, she married A. William Buckley, Jr., DMD and together they enjoyed 68 years of marriage and raised 7 children. Dr. Buckley died October 27, 2020. Norma was a resident of Stoughton for over 68 years and was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. After raising her family, Norma worked as a Teller at Randolph Savings Bank for 5 years and later in the office of Dr. James Tyer for several years. She was a longtime communicant of St. James Parish in Stoughton. Norma and Bill were longtime summer residents of Falmouth. In her free time, she enjoyed being surrounded by her beloved family and her friends.
Mrs. Buckley is survived by her children: Paula T. Gulinello of Falmouth, Ambrose William "Bill" Buckley III and Joseph Buckley and his wife Nancy, all of Stoughton, Thomas M. Buckley and his wife Cindy of Mansfield, Mary Ann Caldwell and her husband Alan, Christine Richard and her husband Stephen and Peter M. Buckley and his wife Lisa, all of Stoughton. She was the sister of the late Roger Bismore. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday from 4-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. James Church in Stoughton on Wednesday at 11:30AM with burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.
