Nora M. (Lori) McCoubrey, 81, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Daughter of the late Nazareno A. and Nora A. (Dewar) Lori, she was born in Walpole and raised in Canton. She was a graduate of St. John School in Canton. Nora was a resident of Stoughton since 1960. She was a caregiver for Home Instead in Norwood and was also a Stoughton Police Traffic Supervisor. An avid bowler, she was a member of the Westgate Bowling League in Brockton for 40 years. Nora loved knitting, crocheting, going to casinos and going out to lunch with friends, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family and her cats, Bob and Buddy.
Nora is survived by her children, George R. McCoubrey and his wife Donna of Moultonborough, NH and Lori M. Blye and her husband Lawrence of Norton, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Aron, Briana and Jillian Blye. She was the sister of Mary Ruggiero of Stoughton and the late Celeste Fay. She was preceded in death by her fiancé, John Silva and her former husband, George R. McCoubrey. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
