Nicholas G. Diesso

Nicholas G. Diesso 87, a lifelong resident of Sharon, died after a period of illness at Norwood Hospital on Tuesday, June 7. He was the beloved husband of Salletta Diesso and the son of the late Michael and Jennie Diesso. Stepson of Luisa Diesso. He was a Merchant Marine Veteran of World War II and a former Sharon Police Officer.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Diesso is survived by his children, Michael Diesso and his wife Cheryl of Wareham, Linda Damon of Franklin, Steven Diesso and his wife Jackie of Wareham and Robert Diesso and his wife Kathy of Wrentham as well as ten grandchildren, Caren Lucarelli, Tammy Blenkhorn, Kimberly Blenkhorn, Stephanie Lindsey, Nicole Diesso, John Diesso, Ashley Diesso, Kaitlyn Diesso, Paul Cavacas and Christopher Cavacas and 7 great grandchildren, Gary, Matthew, Tracy, Brennah, Joseph, Joel and Hannah. He was the brother Margaret Anderson and the late Walter Diesso, Dora Beatty and Justine Bennet. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, June 11 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-8 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Burial will be in Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon.
