Nellie (Revnoff) Gibson, 84, died unexpectedly at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Thursday, November 3. She was the wife of George A. Gibson for 65 years. A lifelong resident of Stoughton, Mrs. Gibson was a graduate of Stoughton High School. She ran a webbing machine at JW Wood in Stoughton for over 15 years before working as an inspector at Becton Dickinson in Westwood part time for several years. After that she helped make hospital equipment at Electrodyne in Sharon for over 10 years before retiring over 15 years ago. In her free time she loved working in her garden.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gibson is survived by her sons, George M. Gibson and his wife Rose and William J. "Buddy" Gibson and his wife Barbara both of Stoughton, as well as her sister, Vera Callanan of Stoughton. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Nicholas Revnoff and Alexander Revnoff.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, November 7 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Donations in Nellie's name may be made to the American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, 01701.
