Neil J. Donga, 48, died Wednesday, August 31, at the Brockton Hospital after a battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Marianne E. (Bonzagni) Donga. Born in Dorchester, he was a graduate of Don Bosco Technical High School in Boston and University of Lowell. He also attended courses at Worcester Polytechnical Institute. Mr. Donga worked as an Electrical Engineer at Mack Technology in Westford for the past 3 years. Prior to that he worked at Sonus Network and Teradyne. In his free time, he enjoyed reading and spending time with his family. A lover of sports, he was a Patriots season ticket holder.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Callie M. Donga of Stoughton. He was the brother of Lauren Opila of Dorchester and Paul Donga of W. Roxbury and is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, 560 Page St., Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-9 PM. Donations in Neil's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 20 Speen St., Framingham, 01701 or to New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston, 02108. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
