Natalia M. (Melo) Santos, age 72 passed away peacefully at her home in Stoughton surrounded by her family on April 23, 2024. She was the loving wife to Arthur Santos for 53 years. Born in São Miguel, Açores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Liberal F. Melo and Maria Natalia Melo. She was raised and educated in the Açores, and got married and started her family in Angola, Africa. She moved to Stoughton in 1978 and became a U.S. Citizen. Natalia worked at Analog Devices for almost 20 years. She loved her work and built a strong community of friendships who remained in her life until the end. She enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, crocheting, socializing and entertaining her family and friends. She was a devoted wife and mother and cherished spending quality time with the people she loved. She will be greatly missed.
In addition to her dear husband, Natalia is survived by her children Sonia Santos of East Bridgewater, Anabela Santos of Stoughton, and Michael Santos of New York. She was the beloved Avó to Destany and Cecilia. She is also survived by her siblings, Manuela Gomes of Port Charlotte, FL, her twin sister Fatima Maia of Taunton, Nelson Melo of Stoughton, Liberal Melo of New Bedford, Maria Raulino of Manitoba, Canada and was preceded in death by her oldest sister Delia Vieira. She also leaves behind 16 nieces and nephews and several in-laws.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park Street (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Thursday, April 25th from 4-7 PM. Funeral will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 26th at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton.
