Myriam H. Capen, 49, died unexpectedly Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg in Orangeburg, SC, after suffering from a burst appendix while traveling home to her father's funeral. Born in Bangor, ME, she was raised and educated in Stoughton, MA and Vallauris, France. She was a graduate of Rollins College in Florida, earned her Law Degree from University Aix Marseille and a Master's Degree in International Law at King's College in London. Ms. Capen was a solicitor in England for several years and has been a lawyer in France for the past 9 years. She was a dedicated volunteer for the Race For Life. In her free time, she enjoyed dancing, music, swimming and watching Formula 1 racing. She was a history buff who also enjoyed watching old movies.
Ms. Capen was the beloved daughter of Marie-France (Chaloin) Capen of Winter Park, FL and the late Herbert C. Capen. She is also survived by many friends.
Combined Funeral Services for Myriam and her father Herbert will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, April 16 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-4 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
