Miriam E. (Barker) Cohenno, of Stoughton, died suddenly Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at the Copley at Stoughton Nursing Care Center. She was 83. Born Jan. 26, 1924, in Somerville, she was educated in Stoughton schools and was a member of the Stoughton High School Class of 1943. The wife of 64 years of Robert Cohenno, Miriam worked at F.C. Philips and in the local restaurant business. She enjoyed seamstress work, ceramics and gardening.
Miriam is survived by her three children: Laurence R. Cohenno and his wife, Krista, of Willett, N.Y.; Cathy J. Keane and her husband, Patrick, of Englewood, Fla.; and Edward D. Cohenno and his wife, Jean, of East Taunton. She is also survived by two sisters, seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Miriam was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew W. Barker and Helen M. (Denley) Barker, a brother and two sisters.
Calling hours, to which friends and family are cordially invited, are from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 7 at Farley Funeral Home located at 358 Park Street (Route 27) in Stoughton. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 8 at Farley Funeral Home, with interment following in Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton.
