Mildred H. (Carbone) Visconti died peacefully at home on Saturday, February 7, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Sabato and Rose (Ciampa) Carbone, she was born in Boston. She was a lifelong resident of East Boston until moving to Stoughton 6 years ago. She was a graduate of the Girls Trade School in Boston. Mrs. Visconti was a seamstress for many years before retiring 30 years ago. She enjoyed Bingo, dancing, trips to Twin River and Foxwoods and especially spending time with her family.
Mrs. Visconti is survived by her children, Paul A. Visconti of Medford and Jayne Pinto and her husband Joseph of Stoughton, as well as her grandchildren, Paul Visconti, Jr., Alyssa Pinto, Mikayla Visconti, Maria Pinto and Giana Visconti. She was the sister of Edith Masciulli of Saugus and the late Marian Carbone, Anne Siracusa, Rita McGrath and Alexander Carbone. She was the former wife of the late Italo "Vinny" Visconti and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, February 11 from 9:30-11:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at Noon. Interment will take place at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston. Donations in Mildred's memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
