Mildred S. (Fowler) Clark, 89, a resident of West Wareham, died peacefully at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. She was the wife of the late James Clark. Born and raised in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1945. She resided in West Wareham for the past 30 years. Millie was a cashier at Bob's Foodmart in Stoughton for many years after working for Newberry's 5 and 10 in Stoughton. She retired 40 years ago. She was a member of the Tobey Hospital Guild and managed the Tobey Hospital Gift Shop, where she volunteered for 14 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing puzzles but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Millie is survived by her children, Judy Girard of N. Andover, James Cabral and his wife Paula of Middleboro and Sandy McDonough of Taunton. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Phillips, Ruth Parsons, Alice Roach, Natalie Chipman, George Fowler, Jr. and James Fowler. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, December 26 at 7 PM. Visiting Hours prior from 4-7 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Millie's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
