Michelle "Shelly" (Dmohowski) Rugg, 57, a longtime former resident of Bridgewater, died at the Harrington House in Walpole on Monday, September 12 after a long, courageous battle with Scleroderma. Daughter of Dorothy M. (McMahon) Dmohowski of Stoughton and the late Charles M. Dmohowski, she was born in Milton and raised in Stoughton. Michelle was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1972 and Bridgewater State College, Class of 1976. She also graduated from Bristol Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene. She was a dental hygienist for 25 years, working for many years with Dr. Melvin Chessler in Quincy, before retiring in 2000. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and especially her family.
In addition to her mother, Michelle is survived by her sons, Peter J. Rugg, Jr. of Bridgewater and Mark W. Rugg of Middleboro. She was the sister of Mark C. Dmohowski and Gail K. Dmohowski both of Stoughton, Marie C. Guzdowski of N. Attleboro, Charles "Mitch" Dmohowski, Jr. of CA and the late Jeanne M. Dmohowski. She was the former wife of Peter J. Rugg.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, September 17 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
