Michele D. Taglieri, 92, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Port Healthcare Center in Newburyport on Friday, May 1, 2015 with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Enes E. (Campedelli) Taglieri for 69 years. Son of the late Michele and Anna (Pantaleo) Taglieri, he was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester. Michele was a graduate of Mechanic Arts High School in Boston. He was a Carpenter's Mate 1st Class in the U.S. Navy and a Veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific. He resided in Stoughton since 1954. Mr. Taglieri was a master carpenter who ran his own woodworking company in Stoughton before working for American Milling Company in Stoughton. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing golf.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Taglieri is survived by his daughters, Mary C. Taglieri of Florida, Joan C. Taglieri and her partner Josephine O'Brien of Newburyport, Ann L. Reardon and her husband Christopher of Brockton, Paula J. Connolly and her partner Robert Humphreys of Swansea and Claire M. LaPorte and her husband Kevin of Easton. He was the grandfather of Stacy, Scott, Courtney, Kevin Jr., Nicole, Michael and Jenna and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Tuesday, May 5 at Noon. Visiting hours and interment will be private.
