Michael E. Manifase, 55, of Stoughton, died Tuesday, November 17, at his home, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was the husband of Patti Wood. Born in Dorchester, he was a lifelong resident of Stoughton and a graduate of Southeastern Regional High School in Easton. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. Mr. Manifase worked as a carpenter for Local 624 Boston for many years. An avid outdoorsman, in his free time, he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and eating lasagna and meatballs made by his mother in law Toni Wood.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Meredith D. Manifase of Stoughton and Heather L. Kelley of Whitman and his son Jason M. Kelley of HI. He was the beloved "Bumpa" to his grandchildren Maryah "Boo Boo" Cardoso and Makayla "Buttons" Cardoso. He was the brother of Debbie Niejadlik and her husband Walt of CT and Raymond Manifase of Stoughton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Earl M. "Buzzy" Manifase and Mary A. (Culleton) Manifase and his sister Dianne Manifase.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, November 23 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
