Mervis E. (Granger) Connor, 86, passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at her home in Stoughton. She was wife to the late Robert C. Connor. Born in East Brookfield, MA, and raised by the late Ruth & Thorold Curtis. Mervis was educated in Stoughton and attended tailoring school. She worked as a Personal Care Attendant for many years. She loved boating and canoeing, tailoring, and cooking for the family. She was a talented artist and loved to draw and paint. She was also a lifetime member of the First Congregational Church of Stoughton.
Mervis was loving mother of Roberta M. Large of Rochester, NH, Beverly F. Doherty of Brockton, Richard T. Swallow, Barbara M. Swallow and Carol L. DiStefano, all of Stoughton, and to the late Elaine R. Mattingly and Robert C. Connor. Mother-in-law to Edward Mattingly, Sr., Donna Connor, Richard Marsh and the late Albert DiStefano. Cherished grandmother to 19 grandchildren, including both James Connor and Jason Connor. Great-grandmother to 16 and great great-grandmother to 3. She was sister of Margaret Webster of So. Easton, Barbara Smith of Wareham and to the late Beverly Devereaux. A special thanks to Red Iglesias for being there with love and care.
Funeral service will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton, on Friday, June 1st at 11 AM. Visiting hours prior to the service from 10-11 AM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
