May E. Betty Rubel

May E. "Betty"(Dykeman) Rubel, 87, a resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. She was the wife of the late George E. Rubel. Daughter of the late Arthur and Kathryn Dykeman, she was born and raised in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1945. Betty resided in Ledyard, CT for 50 years before returning to Stoughton 14 years ago. She was a homemaker and also worked at Dykeman Electric many years ago. She enjoyed playing Bingo at the Stoughton Senior Center and traveling with her husband.
Mrs. Rubel was the sister of the late Peggy Ann Johnson, Virginia Lyerla, Grace Cohenno and Buddy, James, Louis, Billy and Jack Dykeman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Sunday, March 22 from 2-4 PM. Funeral Service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty's memory may be made to Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
