Maureen F. Barrett, 54, died Saturday, February 9, at her home. Born in Chelsea, she was raised in Avon and a graduate of Avon Schools. She also graduated from Catherine Gibbs Secretarial School. Mrs. Barrett worked as a Postal Worker at the Southeast Regional Post Office in Brockton for over 10 years. A talented artist, in her free time, she enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, crocheting and crafts.
She is survived by her children; Dennis C. Woletskas Jr. of E. Taunton, Charlene M. Simms of Stoughton and Ashley L. Simms and Kayleigh A. Simms both of Avon. She was the daughter of James Barrett of Avon, formerly of Stoughton and the late Gladys A. (Fiske) Barrett. She was the sister of Mark Barrett and Michael Barrett both of E. Falmouth, Lynne Kinch of Hanson and Gail Eagan of Cotuit. She is also survived by her granddaughters Grace Woletskas and McKenzie Simms.
