Matthew J. "Matt" Fitzpatrick, 45, died on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at his home in Brockton. Born in Stoughton, he was a graduate of Stoughton High School and attended Massasoit Community College. Matt was a livery driver for First Call Livery. He was the loving husband and best friend of Lynne (Saulnier) Fitzpatrick. He was the son of Collette (Carr) Fitzpatrick of Warwick, RI and the late Albert J. Fitzpatrick.
He was an avid Boston sports enthusiast, loved his dog, Rocky and enjoyed rooting for his favorite Greyhound named Hot Foot Wilson at the Raynham dog track. Matt loved spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Matt is survived by his stepchildren, Jacquelynn Weckbacher & her husband Michael of Norwood, Brian Duffy & his fiancé Kara of Brockton, Amanda Saulnier & her fiancé John Malloch of Brockton and Mark Saulnier also of Brockton. He was the loving grandfather to Kayla, Brooke and Michael. He was the brother of Donna Gray & her husband Chris of RI and Susan Fitzpatrick also of RI. Cherished nephew of Sister Marie Patrice of Watertown and also survived by my many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Friday, November 17 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be private.
