Mary V. (Cobb) Valliere, 83, died Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Plymouth, after a period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Raymond L. Valliere and beloved daughter of the late Charles T. and Alice C. (Mahoney) Cobb. Born in Stoughton, she was raised and educated in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1953. She was a resident of Carver for the past 24 years. Mrs. Valliere worked as a Professional Cake Decorator at Connors Bakery in Rockland for many years. She retired several years ago. She was a talented cake decorator and, over the years, designed and decorated cakes for all of her niece's and nephew's weddings and loved to make gingerbread houses with them. She was a dedicated and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. Before her husband's death, she enjoyed going to Veteran's events with him. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Valliere is survived by her siblings: Marlene P. Schwotzer and her husband, the late Paul Schwotzer of Carver, Charles T. Cobb, Jr. and his wife Jeanne of Connecticut, Clare F. Werner and her husband Richard of Abington, Cathy Pasionek and her husband Bob of Bourne and Daniel H. Cobb and his wife Alexa of Brockton. She is fondly remembered by Raymond's children and their families, Rae Jane Doyle, Sr. Mary Joan Valliere, Joseph Valliere and Ann Marie Nisby. Mary was the dedicated aunt of Susan Galliher, Jennifer & Jamie Jepsen, Christopher & Rebecca Cobb, Kimberly Corbett, Jeffrey Werner, Elaine & Devon Lutz, Julie and Seth Porter, Michelle and Douglas Mello, Mark Pasionek and his fiancé April Tarr, Janel Cobb and Cory & Jenna Cobb. She was the loving "Mimi" of Molly, Abby, Jilly, Luke, Violet and Audrey.
Funeral Prayers will be offered in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, October 25 at 12 Noon. Visiting Hours will be held prior to the service from 11 AM-12 PM. Interment will take place at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
