Mary Thang, 50, died Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a battle with cancer. She was the beloved daughter of David Sai Ling Thang of VA and the late Bouachine Elizabeth Thang. Born in Washington, DC, she was raised and educated in Fairfax County, VA and was a graduate of George C. Marshall High School. Mary attended George Mason University earning her Bachelor degree in Business Administration. She was a longtime resident of Boston, formerly living in Stoughton. She worked as an Editorial Assistant for several different companies, including Tufts University. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, reading and gardening.
In addition to her father and his present wife, Lily Kung Thang, she is survived by her two sisters; Lily Thang and her husband John D. Cooper of San Francisco, CA and Vida Gallagher and her husband Jim of Stoughton. She was the dedicated and loving aunt of Melissa, Michael and Matthew Gallagher of Stoughton.
An Evening of Remembrance will be held at the residence of James and Vida Gallagher, 16 Abbey Ln., Stoughton on Tuesday, September 16 from 6:30-9 PM.
