Mary F. (MacDonald) Taylor, 95, died Thursday, December 14, 2017, at the Our Lady's Haven Nursing Home in Fairhaven. She was the wife of the late Wilton D. "Bud" Taylor. Born and raised in Dorchester, she was a graduate of Dorchester Girl's High School, Class of 1941. Mary was a proud World War II Veteran of the US Coast Guard and was a member of the "SPARS," the Women's branch of the Coast Guard. She was a longtime resident of Stoughton and moved to Fairhaven two years ago. Mrs. Taylor was a dedicated homemaker and mother. In her free time, she enjoyed refinishing furniture, gardening, crafts and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Taylor was the mother of David H. Taylor of California, Diane C. Carroll of Maine, Lisa A. McGrath of Bourne and the late Marie E. Morehouse. She was the sister of the late Victoria Byrnes, Miller MacDonald and Earl MacDonald. She was also survived by 3 grandchildren, including Lindsey McGrath of Bourne.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Tuesday, December 19 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
