Mary E. (Donnelly) Ripley, 83, died Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canton after a long period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Charles G. Ripley, Jr. Born, raised and educated in Norwood, she was a graduate of Norwood High School. She was a resident of Stoughton for many years. Mrs. Ripley worked as an executive assistant for Kennedy and Lehan CPA Firm in Quincy for over 25 years, retiring several years ago. She was a longtime, dedicated communicant and volunteer at St. James Church in Stoughton. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling with her cousins, attending class luncheons and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Ripley is survived by her children; Kathleen M. Rowe and her husband Robert of Mansfield and Charles G. Ripley, III and his wife Yunely of AZ. She was the grandmother of Meghan, Kathryn, Elizabeth and Daniel Rowe and Charles and Julian Ripley. Mary was the sister of James F. Donnelly of Norwood and the late Robert Donnelly. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held in the St. James Church, 560 Page St., Stoughton on Friday at 11:30 AM. Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton prior to the Mass from 10-11 AM. Interment will take place at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
