Mary Loretta (Cole) Richman

Mary Loretta (Cole) Richman, age 84, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025 at the Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the beloved wife to Gerald “Jerry” Richman for 60 loving years. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Francis Cole and Loretta (Doyle) Cole, and was a longtime resident of both Brockton and Assonet. Mary met her love Jerry in their early 20’s where they got married in 1965, raising their family together and making many memories throughout the years. As one of the first woman to graduate from Bentley College, she earned a degree in business, specializing in bookkeeping. She worked as an airline stewardess for Northeast Airlines for several years, and went on to help build a successful business with her husband. Together they ran Woodlawn Cleaners of Randolph for over 40 years. Mary enjoyed going to the casino playing the slot machines, and had an especially warm and caring heart always putting others before herself. Above all, Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and “Nanny”, who dedicated herself to her family, and would do absolutely anything for those she loved. Her unwavering devotion to her family and friends showed no limits, and she will be greatly missed.

In addition to her dear husband Jerry, Mary is survived by her children Harry Richman and his wife Christine of Taunton, and Loretta “Lori” Messina and her beloved late husband Michael. She was the Nanny to her grandchildren Billy Richman and his wife Viki, Emily Zuromsky and her husband Sean, Olivia Messina and Maria Messina, and great-grandchildren Hayden Zuromsky and Connor Richman. She was the sister to Peggy Marshall, Betty Locke, Helen Walls, Francis Cole, Joe Cole, and was preceded in death by her brothers William Cole and Robert Cole. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
