Mary F. (Burns) Reddington, 88, died peacefully at Baypointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton on Monday, February 25. She was the wife of John P. Reddington for 58 years. Born in Cambridge, she was a graduate of North Cambridge High School and secretarial school. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1954. Mrs. Reddington was a secretary with the Evening Division at Stonehill College in Easton for many years before retiring in 1978. She was a very active communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Stoughton and a member of the Ladies Sodality at the church. She was also active with the Cub Scouts many years ago.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Reddington is survived by her sons, Kevin J. Reddington and his wife Patricia of Boston and Gary F. Reddington and his wife Phyllis of West Bridgewater. She was the sister of the late William Burns. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, February 28 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne.
