Mary Ann (Dennett) Perry, 59, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Brockton Hospital on Monday, March 14. She was the wife of John C. Perry, Jr. Born in Boston, she was raised in Whitman and graduated from Whitman-Hanson High School, as well as LaBaron Hairdressing Academy in Brockton. She was a resident of Stoughton for the past 26 years. Mrs. Perry was a hairdresser at Cut & Curl in Stoughton for 25 years before retiring last month. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW Post 1645 in Stoughton. In her free time she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Perry is survived by her children, Theresa Munroe of Stoughton, Douglas Tigges of Brockton, Kellie Perry of Easton, Becki Davis and Darcie McKetchnie both of Foxboro and Thomas Tigges of Attleboro. She was the sister of Ellen Donovan of Hanson, Barbara Cappello of Leominster, Edmund Dennett and John Dennett both of NH and the late William J. Dennett, Jr., Catherine Baker, Elizabeth Carter and Charles Dennett. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, March 19 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Michael Church, Avon at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater. Donations in Mary Ann's name may be made to the Jimmy Fund, c/o Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
