Mary T. (Kirby) Paquette, 85, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at home on Saturday, June 5 after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of James K. Paquette for 67 years. Born in Ireland, she was raised in Roxbury and educated at St. Patrick's School. She was a resident of Dorchester for 15 years before moving to Stoughton 46 years ago. Mrs. Paquette was the bookkeeper and office manager for Paquette Machine and Tool Company in Avon for 40 years before retiring over 1 year ago. An avid Boston sports fan, she enjoyed playing golf and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Paquette is survived by her children, Maryellen Grayden-Porter and her husband George Porter of Berkley and James K. Paquette, Jr. and his wife Mary of Stoughton, as well as her grandchildren, Terri Chaves, Lori Grayden, Susan Paquette and Keith Paquette and her great-grandson, Brian Chaves. She was the sister of Jack Kirby of West Roxbury and Catherine Bertone of Norwell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
