Mary F. (Single) Murphy, 54, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 6 surrounded by her family. She was the wife of 30 years of Brian H. Murphy. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School and attended Massasoit Community College. Mrs. Murphy was a waitress at Charles River Country Club in Newton for 15 years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Murphy is survived by her children, Ryan C. Murphy of Canton, Tyler H. Murphy of Cambridge, Timothy F. Murphy and Breanna B. Murphy both of Stoughton, as well as her grandson, Avery L. Murphy. She was the sister of Jeanne Kelly of Canton, Nancy Santamaria of Dedham, Lorraine Kelleher of MD, Christine Mahoney of Worcester, Charles Single, Jr. of Walpole and the late Patricia Single. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Tuesday, February 12 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be private.
