Mary I. Mosher

Mary I. "Marie" (Saia) Mosher, 80, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Tuesday, April 23. She was the devoted wife of 44 years of Andrew C. Mosher. Born and raised in Dorchester, she was educated at St. Peter School in Dorchester and St. Patrick School in Roxbury. She was a resident of Stoughton for 42 years after living in Avon for several years. Mrs. Mosher was a bookkeeper at Liberty Mutual for several years and a part-time librarian at the Gibbons Elementary School in Stoughton for 18 years before retiring 20 years ago. She loved cooking, shopping and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Mosher was the beloved mother of Brian V. Nickerson of Braintree, Vincent J. "Jimmy" Nickerson of FL, Andrea Fierimonte and her husband Fernando of Northboro and the late Raymond V. Nickerson. She was the loving grandmother of Anthony, Andrew and Alec Fierimonte. She is also survived by 2 other grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, April 29 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Michael Church, Avon at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Due to floral restrictions at the cemetery, in lieu of flowers donations in Marie's memory may be made to the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, 875 N.
