Mary (Gonsalves) DeCaires Miller, a longtime resident of Stoughton, passed away on Friday October 9, 2015 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. She was 83. Mrs. Miller was the loving wife of the late Raymond L. Miller.
Born in Madeira, Portugal on September 29, 1932, Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Gonsalves. She immigrated to the United States and raised her family in Stoughton. She enjoyed making crafts and sewing. Mrs. Miller loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who lovingly remember her as someone who always took care of others first.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her sons, Frank DeCaires of Stoughton and David L. Miller of South Carolina. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicole L. (DeCaires) Meneses and her husband Paul of Raynham, Christopher F. DeCaires of Avon and her six great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Aiden, Ashlyn, Avery, Kyle and CJ.
Her funeral will be from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St.,(Rte. 27) in Stoughton, on Wednesday, October 14 at 9:30 AM followed by a funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday 5-8 PM. Interment will be private.
