Mary Lorizio

Mary G. (Affanato) Lorizio, 92, died Sunday, May 20, under the care of Hospice of the South Shore. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Lorizio. Born in Boston, she was raised in the South End and was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mrs. Lorizio was a resident of Canton for over 50 years before moving to Franklin over 1 year ago. She worked for Morse Shoe and J. Baker Shoe in Canton for over 25 years, retiring at age 73. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, making afgans and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her four sons; Vincent J. of Millis, Michael G. of Norfolk, Robert J. of Braintree and Joseph P. of Wareham. She was the sister of Sarah Repucci of Mansfield and Matilda D'Angeles of Dedham. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist Church, Canton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from -5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
