Mary Georgette Kellum

Mary Georgette "Georgie" (Elias) Kellum, 74, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Braemoor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Brockton on Sunday, July 25. She was the wife of the late Earl Kellum. Born and educated in Boston, she was a resident of the South End for many years. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 40 years. Mrs. Kellum was a Certified Nurses Aide at Blue Hills Nursing Home in Stoughton for 20 years before retiring in 1995. In her free time she enjoyed reading and traveling.
Mrs. Kellum is survived by her children, Margaret A. Daily of Hull, William J. Kellum of Old Town, ME, Yvonne M. Kellum and Neil Kellum both of Stoughton, Roger L. Kellum of Brockton and Renee Kellum of Newport, ME. She was the sister of the late Loretta Ciampa, Susan McCormick and Shirley Ortiz all formerly of the South End. She is also survived by 6 sisters, 1 brother, 27 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, July 30 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at VA National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in Georgette's name may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445, Attn: Contribution Services or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
