Mary Domenica (Rullo) Herget

Mary Domenica (Rullo) Herget, 87, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Thursday, January 11, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  She was the wife of Richard Mark Herget for 67 years.  She was the daughter of the late Rose (Olivieri) Rullo and the late Antonio Rullo and his wife Raphaella.  Born in Boston, she was raised in Hyde Park and graduated from Hyde Park High School, Class of 1954.  She also graduated from Boston City School of Nursing.  Mary resided in Dedham for 20 years before moving to Stoughton 25 years ago.  She was a registered nurse at the Sherrill House in Jamaica Plain for over 30 years before retiring in 1998.  She loved spending time with her family and summers in Marion.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by her children, Mark A. Herget and his wife Jody of Manchester, NH, RoseAnn Pasqualone and her husband Domenic of Phoenix, AZ, Richard M. Herget, Jr. and his wife Denise of Londonderry, NH, Laura M. Prudden and her husband David of Stoughton, Patricia M. Overko and her husband David of Stoughton and Mary T. Zimmerman and her husband Shawn of Manchester, NH.  She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, January 22 at 11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 12 PM.  Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM.  Interment will be private at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary‘s memory may be made to Accent Care, 1 Edgewater Drive, Suite 103, Norwood, MA 02062.
