Mary L. (Lydon) Hart, 88, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston on Tuesday, December 3. She was the wife of the late John J. Hart. Born in Boston, she was raised in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls. She was a resident of Stoughton since 1960. Mrs. Hart was a homemaker and also worked in the kitchen at New England Sinai Hospital in Stoughton for over 10 years. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Stoughton and was a member of the Ladies Sodality. She enjoyed reading, word games, traveling and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Hart is survived by her children, Patricia M. Hart of Canton, Nancy A. Rendini and her husband Steven, Paul F. Hart and his late wife Deborah and Mary L. Hart all of Stoughton and John J. Hart and his wife Karyl of Middleboro. She was the grandmother of Andrew Hart, Stuart and Keith Standish, Kerrie Lasell, Michael and Jenna Rendini, Kevin and Lauren Hart and the late John T. and Jillian Hart. She was the sister of the late Theresa Reilly. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, December 7 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to The Michael J.
