Mary Theresa (Reardon) Hanley, 87, died Thursday, September 17, at the Hannah B. G. Shaw House in Middleboro after a period of failing health. She was the wife of 66 years of Edward A. Hanley, Jr. of Stoughton. Born in Morristown, NJ, she was raised in Arlington and Boston and was a graduate of Mt. St. Joseph's Academy in Boston. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 50 years. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother. Mrs. Hanley was active at Immaculate Conception Church and a former member of the Massachusetts Catholic Women's Guild. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, cooking, ceramics and above all, spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children; Mary Anne Casserly and John P. Hanley both of Middleboro, Thomas J. Hanley of Brockton, James M. Hanley of Bourne, Clare L. Grenon and Timothy S. Hanley both of Bridgewater, Kevin F. Hanley of N. Andover, Kathleen E. Kelley of Wrentham and the late Edward A. Hanley. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-5 PM. Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
