Mary (Mootos) Hall, 82, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at the Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canton on Monday, May 1, 2017. She was the wife of the late Per O. Hall. Daughter of the late Paul and Cornelia (Hoitos) Mootos, she was born in Stoughton and graduated from Stoughton High School, Class of 1953. Mary was a homemaker and an artist. She ran Mill Hill Ceramics out of her home for over 30 years. She was a member of the Stoughton Art Association, the Easton Art Association and the New England Ceramic League. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her sons, Peter J. Hall and his wife Jane of Dunedin, FL and George C. Hall and his wife Michelle of Austin, TX. She was the sister of Theodore Mootos and his wife Catherine of Stoughton and the late Anne Gianarelis and William Mootos. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, May 5 at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Service at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Brockton at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn., 309 Waverley Oaks Rd., Waltham, MA 02452.
